Wisconsin Man Blames ‘Devil’ for Fatal Shooting of Ex-Girlfriend

A Wisconsin man, Ronald Fuller, has pleaded guilty to second-degree reckless homicide in the tragic 2024 killing of his ex-girlfriend, LaKeyshia Timmons, in Milwaukee. The 53-year-old man claimed that an evil force compelled him to walk to her home and commit the horrifying act.

Fuller is scheduled to be sentenced in May following his plea in a Milwaukee courtroom on Monday, April 7, 2025. The case has sparked outrage and concern over domestic violence and the systems in place meant to protect victims.

According to police reports, the fatal incident took place around 7:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of N. 18th Street. A ShotSpotter alert led officers to the scene, where they discovered Timmons with a gunshot wound to her side. She was declared dead by paramedics who arrived shortly afterward.

Detectives recovered nine shell casings roughly 65 feet from the victim’s body. Witness testimony helped quickly identify Fuller as the suspect. Timmons’s son told investigators he had woken up to gunfire and looked outside to see his mother on the ground and a limping man walking away—someone he recognized as Fuller.

The son ran outside to assist his mother, who was still breathing but unresponsive. He later confirmed Fuller’s identity through an arrest photo, stating the man was wearing the same clothes seen during the tragic event.

According to Law&Crime, surveillance footage captured Fuller pacing near Timmons’s home just before the shooting. As she returned in a van and exited the vehicle, the video captured her distressed voice confronting him.

“Ron, what the f— you doing Ron?” she shouted. “Don’t play with me Ron, Ron no, I am your baby momma dude, what the f— is wrong with you Ron?”

The video then shows Fuller limping away from the scene, aligning with the witness account provided by Timmons’ son.

Authorities revealed the couple had been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their three children. Fuller had reportedly discovered Timmons’ address through one of her other children, intensifying concerns about his intentions.

During questioning, Fuller confessed to the murder but offered no clear motive. He chillingly told officers that “the devil” made him walk to her home and carry out the act.

Timmons, a mother of eight, had allegedly suffered years of abuse at Fuller’s hands. Her daughter, Latanilia Timmons, created a GoFundMe page and detailed a heartbreaking history of domestic violence, explaining that their mother had taken multiple steps to protect herself, but Fuller managed to track her down.

“He waited until she dropped my siblings off at school, and then he took her life,” she wrote.
