Wizkid And Tems Nominated For the MTV Europe Music Awards 2021 Edition.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, and Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer grabs nomination for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2021 Edition.
Wizkid and Tems have been nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards ‘Best African Act’ category in 2021 Edition. (EMA). On Wednesday, the nominees for the annual award were announced.
In regards to their collaborative production, ‘Essence,’ Wizkid and Tems were nominated for the category.
Along with Amaarae, Diamond Platnumz, and Focalistic, the duo was nominated for the category.
Justin Bieber, a Canadian musician, received the most nominations with eight, followed by Doja Cat and Lil Nas X, who each received six nods.
This year’s awards will be held on November 14 in Budapest, Hungary, at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna, and will be broadcast live on MTV networks in 180 countries.
“I’m incredibly pleased to be nominated for the Best African Act at the MTV EMAs,” Tems remarked in response to her nomination.
