Wizkid Explains Why He Switched From His Old Style Of Music To The New Sound [Watch Video]

Multiple award-winning Nigerian artiste, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun well-known as Wizkid has explained in detail why he switched from his old style to the new sound.

According to Wizkid, when asked why he is no longer doing the type of music he used to do before in recent times, said it was because he wanted his songs to be the type of songs that can be played on Sundays as well.

Wizkid made this known publicly over the weekend during an exclusive interview with Red Radio held over the weekend.

He stressed his explanation adding that he wasn’t very satisfied with his songs only being played in parties and nightclubs, even though people love the sounds, he wanted to bring out something good that they can still play on Sundays as we all give thank to God.

Wizkid who during the interview chose Ronaldo over Messi in terms of who his favorite footballer is disclosed that his song titled “Blessed” which is a joint he did with Damian Marley happens to be his best song off his 2019 released ‘Made in Lagos’ album.

He also said he has plans on working with upcoming Nigerian artistes like Tems, Bella Shmurda and Omah Lay who he said recently spent five days recording with him in Ghana.
