Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely recognized as Wizkid, has officially revealed the tracklist for his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Morayo.
The project, set to be released on Friday, November 22, 2024, holds a special significance as it serves as a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Morayo, who passed away in 2023.
Following his successful 2022 album More Love, Less Ego, Morayo promises to showcase Wizkid’s evolution as an artist while emphasizing his deep connection to family.
The 16-track album features an impressive lineup of global collaborators, including Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Tiakola, Anaïs, and Jazmine Sullivan, offering fans a rich blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and international sounds.
Ahead of the album’s release, Wizkid has already released, and created a buzz with two hit singles. “Piece of my heart, and Kese (Dance).
Piece of My Heart, an R&B song featuring American star Brent Faiyaz, which has become a sensation, amassing over 20 million Spotify streams in Nigeria. Meanwhile, Kese (Dance), an energetic party anthem, has garnered a total of 6.1 million streams.
