A woman and her father were tragically killed in Calgary, Canada, following a domestic dispute that escalated over the Christmas holiday.
Ania Kaminski, 38, and her father, Stanislaw Wardzala, were found dead on December 29, 2024, in two separate homes.
Authorities believe their deaths were connected to a violent altercation between Ania and her estranged husband, Benedict Kaminski.
According to police, Benedict Kaminski, 38, is suspected of murdering both Ania and Stanislaw before taking his own life. His body was discovered near his vehicle the following day after an intense manhunt by authorities.
Ania’s brother, Peter, told local media that the deadly altercation began at the family’s Christmas gathering. Peter said the fight started when Ania’s son wanted to sit next to his grandfather rather than his father, which reportedly angered Benedict.
As tensions rose, Benedict allegedly began to physically push Ania away, prompting a confrontation with Peter, who nearly fought Benedict.

Peter revealed that Ania had threatened to file for a protective order against her husband after the argument, adding to the belief that the dispute had been brewing for some time.
Police have confirmed that both Ania and Stanislaw were victims of targeted attacks.
In the wake of this heart-wrenching tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to support Ania’s children and mother during this devastating loss.
The campaign described Ania as a “beloved mom, daughter, sister, and friend,” and urged people to help her children as they cope with the loss of their mother.
The Calgary community is mourning the deaths, and the case is still under investigation as authorities piece together the details of the tragic events.
