Yung Filly Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charges After Alleged Attack in Australia

British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including the alleged rape of a woman in his hotel room during his Australian tour.

The 24-year-old, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, faces eight charges in connection with an incident that reportedly took place in Perth on September 28, 2024.

Yung Filly entered his plea at Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s after performing at Bar1 Nightclub.

The charges include three counts of assault, one count of strangulation, and four counts of sexual penetration without consent.

The case is set to be heard in the District Court in June, and Yung Filly has been granted $100,000 bail. While out on bail, he also faced a separate legal issue.

On November 17, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving after being caught traveling at 157 km/h (97 mph) on a Perth highway where the speed limit is 100 km/h. As a result, he was fined $1,000 and banned from driving for six months.

Yung Filly, who first gained fame on YouTube before landing various presenting roles with the BBC, has faced serious professional repercussions following the charges.

Several brands, including the FA, Footasylum, and German Doner Kebab, have dropped their endorsements of the influencer in light of the allegations.

The charges stem from an alleged attack that took place in the early hours of September 28, following Yung Filly’s performance at the nightclub.

Police have indicated that they have a strong case, supported by CCTV footage and photographic evidence, though the images have not been shown in court.
