Zachery Ty Bryan, the actor best known for his role as Brad Taylor on Home Improvement, has found himself entangled in legal trouble once again.
The 43-year-old was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on January 1, 2025, on charges of second-degree domestic violence.
Bryan was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. local time and was booked into Horry County jail on January 2, where he remains with a $10,000 bail.
This marks Bryan’s third arrest on domestic violence charges in recent years. His previous legal issues include two DUI arrests in 2024, one of which occurred in Oklahoma in October.
His first notable arrest occurred in 2020, when he was charged with allegedly strangling his girlfriend at an Oregon home. He pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and was sentenced to 36 months of probation.
In 2023, Bryan was arrested again, facing charges of fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery, and misdemeanor harassment. He pleaded guilty to felony assault in the fourth degree, which resulted in a seven-day jail sentence.

Bryan’s tumultuous personal life has been a topic of discussion, especially regarding his engagement to Johnny Faye Cartwright, the woman he had previously been involved with in the 2020 domestic violence incident.
They have three children together—daughter Kennedy and twins Parker and Sequoia.
Following Bryan’s arrest in 2023, Cartwright expressed her support, saying she would always want the best for him as the father of their children, despite the ongoing struggles.
Former Home Improvement co-star Tim Allen, who played Bryan’s TV father on the show, has spoken about Bryan’s recent troubles, admitting that he has struggled to understand the changes in his former co-star.
“At a certain point, he deviated from the guy I know to somebody who is reacting to situations that I had nothing to do with and can’t control,” Allen told The Hollywood Reporter.
Bryan’s legal troubles have raised many questions about his path forward, with no clear resolution in sight as he faces these serious charges.
