The running mate of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Party (NDP), Peter Kwame Asamoah has responded to circulating reports that the flagbearer of the political party has withdrawn from the 2020 Election.
Earlier today, Monday, November 23, 2020, there have been reports on major news blogs nationwide with the headline having it the former first lady, Wife of late former President, F.L.T Jerry John Rawlings has withdrawn from the December polls after heeding to advice from well-wishers following the death of her husband.
In an interview with Joy News on Monday, Peter Kwame Asamoah revealed that the above statement is very false and that it should be disregarded, responded by saying that Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has not redrawn.

According to him, The party is focused on pursuing its agenda towards the upcoming December 2020 General Elections, and as he speaks, the National Democratic Party (NDP) is currently on a tour and that Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is still in the race.
“That statement is false and should be disregarded. Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings certainly has not redrawn. She’s still in the race and currently, we are on a national tour.
“That is also not true. I am surprised at whoever is spreading that information. Because we all know ballot papers have already been printed and nationwide distribution is even completed, so Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings cannot withdraw.
“Whoever is spreading the information is liable for spreading false information because the party structure has not issued any statement to that effect,” – he said.
Well, The NDP will be addressing the media later today, Until then she has still not redrawn from the polls.
