The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has just released the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) timetable.
According to a statement released by WAEC, the examination is scheduled to commence on Monday, August 7.
The first day will feature subjects such as Religious and Moral Education 2 (Essay), Religious and Moral Education 1 (Objective), English Language 2 (Essay), and English Language I (Objective).
On the following day, August 8, candidates will sit for Integrated Science 2 (Essay), Integrated Science 1 (Objective), as well as Ghanaian Language and Culture 2 (Essay).
It is important to note that both Paper 2 and 1 for each subject are to be taken at once, without a break.
WAEC further stated that if the duration indicated on the question paper is different from what is on the timetable, candidates should follow the duration on the question paper.
Additionally, extra time will be given to candidates with visual and hearing impairment, who will be allowed an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates.
“Candidates with visual and hearing impairments are to be allowed an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates,” WAEC noted.
This is important information for candidates preparing for the BECE in 2023, and they should be sure to take note of the dates and subjects scheduled for the exam.
With the proper preparation, students can excel in their exams and continue their education with confidence.
