The 2025 BET Awards winners has been announed.
The event which was hosted by Comedian, Kevin Hart took place on Monday, June 9th, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Coming as no surprise, rapper Kendrick Lamar who led this year’s nominations with a total of 10 nods, went home winning four awards including Album of the Year for GNX, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year for the viral smash “Not Like Us,” and Best Collaboration alongside SZA for their soul-shaking track “Luther.”
Chris Brown won the award for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, SZA took home Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, while Future & Metro Boomin earned Best Group. Doechii also won the ward for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Leon Thomas won the Best New Artist award. Also, Ajulicosta from Brazil won the award for the Best International Act category
In the world of movies, Denzel Washington won the award for Best Actor, while Best Actress went to Cynthia Erivo, Best Movie award was won by Luther: Never Too Much.
