50 Cent, an American rapper and actor, disagrees with the notion that rapper Jay-Z has had a greater impact/influence on hip hop than his colleague Eminem.
Fif came through with his disagreement following American former professional basketball player, Jamal Crawford’s argument where he stated that Jay-Z has had a bigger impact on hip-hop than Eminem on Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast with Shaq.
“That’s why my five, the dominance outweighs the number.
“Like, JAY-Z’s effect on Hip Hop is bigger than any album sales that Eminem will have, you see what I’m saying? That’s just how it goes.” Crawford explained to Shaq.
Rapper 50 Cent’s attention was drawn to the discussion, prompting him to take to Instagram and leave a comment under an Instagram post, describing the claims as “Ha bullsh*t” he wrote.
Eminem and Jay-Z are two of the most successful commercial artists of all time. Eminem is the most-certified artist in the Recording Industry Association of America’s history (RIAA). Jay-Z, on the other hand, has 14 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
50’s remarks follow his recent mockery of Jay-Z for attempting to “look like a g^y painter.” He was upset because Jay-Z allegedly refused to include him in the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show. 50 has stated that Eminem’s support is what allowed him to perform at the event.
50 is planning on collaborating with Eminem on an 8 Mile TV adaptation.
“It’s gonna be big,” 50 said during a recent radio interview. “I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100 … I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”
