Legendary Nollywood actor Zack Orji said that people are becoming so careless on social media that they are disseminating false information.
Recall that Zack Orji collapsed in December 2023 and was taken to the National Hospital’s intensive care unit in Abuja. Following his admission, he was moved to a private hospital for surgery.
On social media, there were speculations that he had passed away. The seasoned actor claimed that he got calls from various people who had not spoken to him in years only out of concern for him.
“I call that a lie from the bowels of hell that, well, not me, they were dead. I don’t know who started that lie.After seeing it, I began to get a variety of calls, including ones from folks I hadn’t spoken to in years. The majority of the calls were concerned and wanted to know whether it was true and other related things.
“All I can say is that at times, people have become so heedless and heartless on social media that they will spread false information in an attempt to increase their page views.” He remarked
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) was then praised for its assistance.
