Lawyer claims Kanye West won’t speak to or pay him

Kanye West’s financial woes have been confirmed as his attorney discloses that the rapper has been ignoring him and also not paying his dues.

Brian Brumfield, the attorney representing West, has reported that the rapper has been unresponsive and has failed to pay his dues.

According to Brumfield, the founder of Yeezy has ceased all communication, ignoring both calls and texts. The attorney, frustrated with the situation, has filed a request to be relieved from representing West in a legal suit against an autograph dealer.

This dealer has accused West of physical assault, alleging that the rapper punched and assaulted him. Brumfield’s motion to withdraw from the case, citing a breakdown in their professional relationship, was documented and seen online.

“Defendant, Kanye West, terminated relationship on 6/21/2024. Defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” the documents read. On June 29, there will be hearing on he attorney’s motion.

Brumfield had been representing West also known as YE in a lawsuit filed on January 10, 2022, by Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall. The lawsuit accuses West of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.

Poplawski claims that West assaulted him outside the Soho Warehouse social club in downtown Los Angeles. When Poplawski requested an apology, West allegedly struck him multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Rumors suggest that West is facing severe financial difficulties. Reports indicate that the rapper has been rapidly depleting his savings, which is now apparent in his dwindling bank balance.

In a striking shift from his usual lifestyle, West has reportedly been forced to fly coach instead of private jets, a clear indication of his need to cut back on expenses.
