A tragic discovery was made in Liverpool when the body of Amanda Warburton, 52, was found in her apartment, reportedly in a “mummified” state, seven months after she was last seen or heard from.
Police discovered her remains in Windmill Hill, Runcorn, on September 17, following concerns raised by a family member who noted that her window had remained closed for two weeks.
An inquest held at Cheshire Coroner’s Court on October 16 revealed that Ms. Warburton’s death is considered “non-suspicious.”
However, her cause of death could not be determined due to the advanced state of decomposition by the time her body was found.

The court heard that Amanda was described as a “loner,” living in relative isolation.

Senior Coroner Jacqueline Devonish confirmed the circumstances surrounding her death were troubling but not indicative of foul play.
Amanda’s sister, who resides in Queensland, Australia, has since set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her return to the UK following this tragic loss.

We are broken. We love you enormously and we will miss you so much.”
The family is now grappling with their loss while seeking closure during this difficult time.
