In a dramatic move, Donald Trump’s campaign has lodged a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against the UK’s Labour Party, alleging foreign interference in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
The complaint references a recent LinkedIn post that claimed 100 Labour staffers were headed to the U.S. to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris in key battleground states.
Trump’s legal team argues that this activity constitutes a violation of U.S. election laws, specifically pointing to the potential for “illegal foreign national contributions.”

They assert that any support from the Labour Party to Harris’s campaign undermines the integrity of the electoral process.
In a letter, Trump’s team invoked historical tensions between the U.S. and Britain, stating, “When representatives of the British government previously sought to go door-to-door in America, it did not end well for them.”
The letter also mistakenly referred to Britain as “Great Britian,” further adding to the controversy.
While it appears that the Labour volunteers are engaging in this activity on their own time and not as official representatives of the party, the Trump campaign is calling for an immediate investigation into what they term “blatant foreign interference.”
The complaint also highlights reports of collaboration between Labour officials and Harris’s campaign.

Susie Wiles, co-manager of Trump’s campaign, stated, “The Harris campaign’s acceptance and use of this illegal foreign assistance is just another feeble attempt in a long line of anti-American election interference.”
