Mum and Four Daughters Found Murdered in Lucknow Hotel Room on New Year’s Eve

A tragic incident unfolded in Lucknow, India, where a mother and her four daughters were found dead inside a hotel room on New Year’s Eve.

Police suspect that the murders were committed by the woman’s 24-year-old son, identified as Arshad, following a heated argument. His father, Badar, is also being sought by authorities in connection with the killings.

The victims have been identified as Asma, the mother, and her four daughters: Alia, 9; Alshia, 19; Aksa, 16; and Rahmeen, 18.

The police discovered their bodies in the hotel room, with their clothes soaked in blood. The family had traveled from Agra to Lucknow to celebrate the arrival of 2025 when the alleged murder took place.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi confirmed that Arshad was apprehended at the crime scene. Forensic officers are examining the hotel room to gather evidence, while investigations continue.

Authorities are also speaking with hotel staff to uncover more details regarding the incident.

Arshad remains in custody, and police are intensifying efforts to locate his father, who remains on the run.
