UFC champion Conor McGregor is facing serious allegations after a woman filed a civil lawsuit against him and the Miami Heat.
The lawsuit, filed on January 16, 2025, accuses McGregor of sexually assaulting the plaintiff, a 49-year-old Wall Street executive, in a restroom at the Kaseya Center during the 2023 NBA Finals.
The incident reportedly occurred after Game 4 between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets on June 9, 2023.
The woman claims McGregor led her into a bathroom stall after being introduced to him by one of his associates. She alleges that the UFC star sexually assaulted her, despite being visibly intoxicated.
The lawsuit also targets the Kaseya Center, alleging gross negligence for continuing to serve McGregor alcohol while he appeared drunk, and for failing to provide a safe environment for patrons.

McGregor has firmly denied the allegations, calling them part of a “shakedown.” His attorney, Barbara Llanes, dismissed the lawsuit as false, expressing confidence that the case would be thrown out.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $75,000, along with medical expenses and other relief.
Interestingly, McGregor’s behavior earlier that evening raised eyebrows when he punched the Miami Heat mascot, Burnie, during a promotional skit. The mascot was hospitalized, but McGregor continued to receive alcohol from arena staff throughout the night.
The woman’s attorney, Jim Dunn, stated that the civil suit is her only remaining path for justice after the Florida state attorney’s office chose not to pursue criminal charges.
Dunn emphasized that his client hopes to raise awareness about sexual assault and encourage others to report similar incidents.
