A friend of the Livingston family, who tragically died in the American Airlines Flight 5342 crash on January 29, 2025, has shared the final photos she received from the family before takeoff.

The family of four was traveling home to Virginia after Everly, 14, and Alydia, 11, had attended an ice skating camp for young Olympic hopefuls in Wichita, Kansas.

The images, taken by mother Donna Livingston, show her daughters smiling in their seats, and another photo captures Donna and her husband, Peter, in a selfie before boarding.

These were the last moments shared by the Livingston family, who were among the 67 victims of the crash, including 60 passengers, four crew members, and three U.S. Army soldiers onboard a Black Hawk helicopter.

Jin Ah Longerbeam, a close friend of the family, recalled the devastating loss, describing Everly and Alydia as “my little babies.” She spoke to ABC News on January 31, saying that her son Wolfe Jin, who was a close friend and skating teammate of the girls, was heartbroken over their passing.

“Everly and Alydia were two of the brightest people at our rink. The community looked up to them,” Wolfe said.

The family had been traveling from Wichita after the girls’ camp and had just boarded American Airlines Flight 5342 when the collision occurred. Tragically, there were no survivors of the mid-air crash when the helicopter collided with the plane.

Peter Livingston, a dedicated father, was described by friends as a man who always put his family first.

Ted Boyke, a family friend, remembered Peter as someone who would do anything for his daughters, even building a backyard ice rink for them to practice on during the pandemic when rinks were closed.

The crash, which claimed the lives of the Livingston family and 63 others, shocked the community. The remains of 41 victims have been recovered, with 28 identified so far.
