Megan Trussell’s Purse Found a Month After Her Death: Investigation Continues

Authorities in Colorado are still investigating the mysterious death of college freshman Megan Trussell, whose body was discovered in February.

In an update provided on March 11, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office shared that her purse had been recovered. However, details about its location and contents remain undisclosed due to the ongoing investigation.

Trussell, a student at the University of Colorado Boulder, was reported missing on February 12 after being last seen in her dorm on February 9.

A week later, on February 15, her body was found in a remote area near Boulder Canyon.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office identified the body on February 18, and while the cause of death is still under investigation, authorities have not found evidence suggesting a threat to the community.

Trussell’s family, who held a memorial near the location of her body, continue to seek answers. Her father, Joe Trussell, expressed gratitude for the community’s support and vowed to find out what happened to his daughter.
