A 49-year-old man has pleaded guilty to a shocking and deadly knife attack that took place on Christmas Day in Milton Keynes, England.
According to Thames Valley Police, Jazwell Brown carried out a “brutal” and unprovoked attack in his apartment building, killing his girlfriend, Joanne Pearson (38), and a neighbor, Teohna Grant (24).
The horrifying incident didn’t stop there. Brown also stabbed a 17-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man, both of whom survived. He even injured Joanne’s dog, Tilly, who was left wounded but survived as well.
Police say Brown fled the scene, but eyewitnesses and security cameras helped authorities track him down quickly. He was arrested later that day and officially charged two days later, on December 27, 2024.
During a court appearance at Luton Crown Court on April 15, Brown pleaded guilty to two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and charges related to possessing a knife and animal cruelty.

Investigators say Brown admitted to the attack while in police custody, telling officers, “I lost my cool tonight… It’s plain murder, not self-defence.”
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin called the attack a “shocking” act of violence that robbed two women of their lives in what should have been the safety of their own homes. He said, “While I’m glad Brown accepted responsibility, nothing can undo the pain caused.”
Celia Mardon from the Crown Prosecution Service added that this “inexplicable” act caused “irreversible damage” and hopes the guilty plea gives the victims’ families a small sense of closure.
The tragedy has left a lasting impact on the Milton Keynes community and beyond, turning what should have been a joyful holiday into a devastating day of loss.
