A Fort Worth woman is facing a murder charge after police say she stabbed her uncle to death inside their shared home the day after Christmas, following a heated argument over a meal.
Ashley Siebenaller, 32, is accused of killing her uncle, Tony Graham, on Dec. 26 at a residence on the 3400 block of Wade Avenue. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Dallas Morning News, the confrontation began when Graham allegedly ordered his niece into the kitchen to “start cooking” and later locked her out of the house.
Witnesses who lived at the residence told investigators they heard the pair arguing before discovering Graham lying on the floor with a stab wound to his chest. A bloody knife was found on a nearby couch, where Siebenaller was allegedly seated when they entered the room.
Despite his injuries, Graham reportedly instructed others in the home to call 911. Fort Worth police arrived at the scene around 12:18 p.m. and noted that Siebenaller appeared non-verbal and unresponsive. Officers attempted to communicate with her through written notes, but she claimed she did not know what had happened and denied stabbing her uncle.
During a follow-up interview on Dec. 30, investigators said Siebenaller was able to speak clearly and communicate normally. While she initially denied involvement, police say she later confessed to stabbing Graham after an argument about preparing food.
According to her statement, both she and Graham were living in the living room of the house, which was leased by another individual who rented out space to multiple occupants. Siebenaller allegedly told detectives that Graham “p—ed her off” after telling her to cook and locking her out earlier that day.
She also claimed Graham stabbed her in the mouth before she killed him, but investigators noted there were no visible injuries or marks on her face to support that claim.
Days later, on Jan. 2, Fort Worth police received another call from a roommate who alleged Siebenaller was standing outside their bedroom door holding a knife. She was taken into custody without incident this week and formally charged with murder on Monday.
Siebenaller is currently being held at the Tarrant County Jail. No bond has been set as of the latest jail records.
