PHILADELPHIA — Reacher returned to Prime Video on Wednesday for its fourth season, throwing lead actor Alan Ritchson into a deep web of corrupt cops, rogue politicians, and dangerous terrorists.
The hit show acts much like an anthology series by adapting a different Lee Child book each year. This season brings military veteran Jack Reacher to Philadelphia to tackle the events of the 2009 novel Gone Tomorrow.
Reacher’s latest mission starts on a subway train when he meets Anna Merrick (Karen Kwong-Chip), a woman in deep distress. Her death pulls the off-the-grid former Army investigator straight into a massive cover-up. Ritchson’s character relies on his usual brutal methods as he dives deeper into a conspiracy than ever before.

Reacher crosses paths with two local officers who handle cases in the city. Detective Tamara Green (Sydelle Noel) gets stuck on the night shift after standing up against city corruption. She takes on a basic case that feels wrong, using her strong gut feelings to push for the truth.

Her partner, Detective Shaun Docherty (Kevin Corrigan), brings a cynical attitude and dry humor to the job. He complains often and voices plenty of doubt, but he steps up for those around him when it counts.
Outside the department, small-town New Jersey cop Jacob Merrick (Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette) travels to Philadelphia looking for answers about his adopted daughter’s sudden death.
The investigation touches the highest levels of government. Congressman John Sampson (Marc Blucas), a former Delta Force soldier stationed in Indonesia, now leads the race for his party’s presidential nomination. His deep secrets face exposure this season, while his loyal wife Elsbeth Sampson (Kathleen Robertson) remains firmly by his side.
A sudden arrival from overseas throws the politician’s life into chaos. Former political dissident Amisha Hoth (Anggun) sacrificed everything to protect her child after surviving military atrocities in her home country. Her daughter, Lila Hoth (Agnez Mo), arrives in Philadelphia to find her estranged father, setting off a dangerous chain reaction.
Investigative journalist Russell Plum (Kevin Weisman) rounds out the key figures in the city. Working off the radar, Plum has spent years collecting evidence against top-secret government operations.
