Pop superstar Lady Gaga has given birth to her first child with her tech entrepreneur fiancé, Michael Polansky, according to a report from Page Six.
The 40-year-old singer whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was seen cradling a newborn infant during a outdoor walk in California with Polansky this week. During the sighting, the performer wore her signature bleach blonde hair alongside a crop top, pyjama trousers, and a loose-fitting cardigan.
Representatives for the musician have not yet released a comment regarding the birth. Details concerning the newborn’s gender and name remain undisclosed, and Gaga did not publicly announce a pregnancy to her fanbase beforehand.
The birth follows months of minimal public appearances. Gaga stayed largely out of the spotlight after finishing her Mayhem Ball tour in April 2026, a retreat that sparked online fan speculation that she was preparing to start a family.
Gaga has spoken about her desire to have children over the course of her career, notably describing motherhood in a previous interview as her “next starring role.”
In a 2025 interview with the New York Times, she shared her perspective on raising a family.
“I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it,” she said. “The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing. So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most”.
Gaga and Polansky first connected in 2019 through associations linked to her Born This Way Foundation. They later reconnected at a Los Angeles birthday party held by Sean Parker, where they spent hours talking.
Their bond grew closer during the COVID-19 pandemic when they isolated together at Gaga’s home in Malibu, an extended period that led her to conclude he was “the one.”
