SET PLUS SES Ghana, the nation’s premier high-definition satellite broadcast service provider, has stated that all HD+ membership packages would see price increases starting on January 10, 2022.

SES HD PLUS has continued to provide top-notch TV viewing experiences to Ghanaian homes for the past two years without ever raising the cost of the HD+ subscription packages that are available, despite the economic difficulties that Ghanaian consumers are facing.

The price increase was nevertheless unavoidable given the rising costs of running the business, the ongoing addition of value offerings from HD+, including more exclusive channels, thrilling features like the PVR function on the HD+ Decoder, the freedom to watch TV on the go with free data each month, the ability to catch up on shows aired in the previous 48 hours on the My HD PLUS mobile app.

The COVID-19 pandemic and other global events have put pressure on TV homes in Ghana, according to Theodore Asampong, CEO of SES HD PLUS Ghana, who commented on the new price hike.

“Since HD+’s introduction into the Ghanaian market two years ago, we have seen this pressure,” he added.

The price increases will guarantee that Ghanaians may continue to watch high-quality TV at the best price available.

As shown in the table below, HD+ Subscribers will pay GHS 12, GHS 35, GHS 85, and GHS 290 starting on January 10, 2022, for their weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual subscription packages, respectively.

“The launch of HD+ in Ghana has stimulated a shift in television viewers’ preference for TV channels with quality pictures in Ghana. We are happy that the concept of world-class TV viewing experiences that we envisioned for Ghana is yielding results,” Asampong asserted.

In addition to the top-notch features and functions presently available to HD+ Customers, starting in January 2023, HD+ subscribers can look forward to watching live football from a few select leagues across the world on a new sports channel called Scooore HD.
