Iconic singer, Madonna is currently receiving treatment in a New York City hospital after being found unresponsive, according to reports from Page Six.
The 64-year-old Material Girl singer was rushed to the hospital on Saturday and had to be intubated in the intensive care unit for at least one night.
However, she is now out of the ICU and in the process of recovery, with her daughter Lourdes Leon by her side.
Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, took to Instagram to provide details of the situation. He explained that she had developed a serious bacterial infection, which required her to stay in the ICU for several days.
Oseary assured fans that Madonna is still under medical care and is expected to make a full recovery.

As a result of this medical emergency, all of Madonna’s current commitments, including her highly-anticipated world tour, have been put on hold.
Oseary stated that further information would be shared once it becomes available, emphasizing the importance of Madonna’s health taking priority.
“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows,” Oseary said.
Earlier this year, Madonna announced a 35-date worldwide greatest hits tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, “Holiday.” The “Celebration” tour, consisting of 84 dates, was originally set to start on July 15 in Vancouver and continue throughout the US and Europe, concluding in Amsterdam on December 1.
