Beyoncé Announces New Album ‘Act II’ Release Date During 2024 Super Bowl

Beyoncé Announces New Album ‘Act II’ Release Date: Beyoncé is gearing up for her next big move, and it’s shaping up to be another exciting chapter in her artistic journey!

The songstress revealed that act II of her 2022 album is scheduled to hit the airwaves on March 29. In a sneak peek shared on Instagram, Beyoncé was seen cruising through the desert, giving fans a taste of her unexpected new sound — country vibes! One track, possibly titled “Texas Hold’Em,” featured lyrics like “This ain’t Texas, ain’t no hold’em, so lay your cards down, down, down, down.”

This announcement followed Beyoncé’s playful tease of groundbreaking moments in a Verizon Wireless commercial, aiming to set the internet abuzz.

Among the surprises were glimpses of Beyoncé in outer space, hints at a soulful album called “Let’s Get Saxy” by the alter ego yoncéB, and an intriguing twist on the iconic Barbie doll, dubbed BarBey. As the commercial wrapped up, the clip left fans hanging with a promise of new music and a surprise drop in the works.

Beyoncé’s latest announcement comes hot on the heels of a remarkable year for the superstar. In 2023, at the age of 42, she embarked on a global tour for her Renaissance album, captivating audiences from May through October.

Documenting the journey, Beyoncé treated fans to an intimate look behind the scenes with the release of “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” on Dec. 1.

“I practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions,” Beyoncé said in an Instagram post as the film was released. “The race against time continued in order to get this film out so quickly. But it was so worth all the grind. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive.”

Amidst the action-packed showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night’s championship game, Beyoncé made a grand entrance, rolling into the stadium midway through the second quarter aboard a golf cart, sending the crowd into a frenzy of cheers.

Earlier in the evening, Beyoncé’s entourage, including her husband JAY-Z and their daughters Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi, 6, graced the field, setting the stage for the star-studded spectacle. Not to forget, the power couple also shares another bundle of joy, Sir, who wasn’t far from the spotlight.

Beyoncé’s arrival set the stage for Usher’s electrifying halftime performance. The dynamic duo has a history of collaboration, dating back to their hit song “Love in This Club Part II” and a memorable joint rendition of Usher’s “Bad Girl” as far back as 2004.

While fans were hoping for a surprise Beyoncé appearance, the night featured a stellar lineup of guest appearances, including Alicia Keys, HER, Ludacris, Will I Am, and Lil Jon.

Among the star-studded audience were A-listers like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Blake Lively, Paul McCartney, Bad Bunny, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Lana Del Rey, and many more, adding to the glitz and glam of the event.

Super Bowl night marked the Carter family’s second public outing of the month, following their appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Feb. 4. At the Grammys, JAY-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, where he took the opportunity to shine a light on Beyoncé’s impressive career, despite her lack of album of the year wins.

“But, you know, some things — I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” JAY-Z said, while daughter Blue stood beside him on stage. “So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn’t work.”

He added, “You know, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you’ve been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don’t belong in a category. No, when I get nervous I tell the truth.”

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are facing off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing now on CBS.
