Coronavirus: Accra Markets To Close Down On Monday For Disinfection, Here’s The Full List

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has announced the closure of Markets In the Greater Accra Region of Ghana due to the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

In a press statement released by AMA and sighted by Townflex stated that the markets would be closed on Monday, March 23rd for disinfection works to take place.

This is a safety measures to help in containing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.

According to Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s statement this is just a one-day closure to enable them disinfect all market and other public places, markets re-opens next day after the activity Monday 23rd to Tuesday 24th March.

Below are the list of markets to be disinfected in Accra on Monday 23rd, 2020, and they have been categorised in to six zones from Accra to Ada.

Zone 1 – venue is korle klottey Municipal Assembly circle Dubai

2.Tip- to lane
3.Odwana
4.Adabraka

Zone 2 – venue is A.M.A
1.Mokola
2.Okashie
3.Kantamanto
4.Tema station
5.Agbogbloshie

Zone 3 – Glory land hotel
1.Kaneshie
2.Anyan market
3.Odorkor

Zone 4 – Social welfare new Municipal
1.Madina
2.Dome
3.Amasaman
4.Achimota

Zone 5 – T.M.A Municipal Assembly
