American movie star, Al Brown, the actor who played the role, police Major Stan Valcheck on HBO’s The Wire series have been confirmed dead.

The famous actor died at age 83.

The news of his death was revealed to Tmz by his daughter, Jenny.

According to Jenny, the actor passed away on Friday (January 13th, 2023) in Las Vegas following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease (Cause Of Death).

In addition, Jenny notes that Al loved his profession and was delighted to stop and visit with anyone who might have known him from the show throughout the years.

In addition to his acting work, with a rise to fame as Stan Valchek in The Wire, Brown had previously served as an Air Force veteran with two tours in Vietnam

He’s survived by his children and extended family.
