Breaking: Alleged Girlfriend Of Murdered Soldier Arrested By Police For Questioning

The murder of Imoro Sheriff, a member of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has sent shockwaves through the Ashaiman community.

While the investigation into the soldier’s death is still ongoing, a suspected girlfriend of the late military personnel has been detained by the police for questioning.

Ernest Henry Norgbey, the member of parliament for Ashaiman Constituency, disclosed this during an interview on Peace FM’s Midday news. According to the lawmaker, the police arrested a female who may have had a relationship with the victim as part of their efforts to find the perpetrators of the crime. He also revealed that over 72 people have been arrested so far in connection with the murder.

The MP urged residents to remain calm and indoors until peace is restored in the constituency. He cautioned against challenging the military or getting involved in any brawl with them, noting that the incident that occurred on Saturday, which many believe led to the military invasion of the community, was linked to Sheriff’s killing.

While there is no evidence linking Benedicta, the alleged girlfriend, to Sheriff’s murder, her public display of affection with the late military officer has raised suspicions.

Videos and pictures of the two kissing and cuddling like lovebirds have been circulating on social media, leading many to conclude that they were romantically involved.

However, it has also been alleged that Benedicta was double dating and had entered into another relationship with another man in Ashaiman when Sheriff left for his military training outside Accra.

These rumours have led some social media users to accuse her of being responsible for Sheriff’s death and call on the authorities to track her down.

In response to the allegations, Benedicta has come out to protest her innocence and deny any involvement in Sheriff’s murder. She has expressed fear for her life and urged the authorities to protect her from harm.
