Background of Song

Well, the song was developed by Nektunez, a Ghanaian music producer located in the United States, who sampled Era’s popular ‘Dori me’ vocals over an ‘amapiano’ soundtrack he created and mastered.

Following the song’s growing popularity, Nektunez (actual name Noble Zogli) teamed up with Nigerian Goya Menor to release a remix.

This helped the ‘chilling with the big boys’ version go viral as well.

TikTok Record

The song blew up on TikTok and is now breaking a worldwide record.

According to a recent update released by TikTok‘s official social media platforms, videos created with the song have already received 9.5 billion views.

And, that is only on the video-sharing app. Yeah, Amazing!! Right?

Meanwhile, TikTok posted a video compilation of the song with the tagline “we’ve chilled with the big boys @goya menor & @nektunez almost 10 billion times,” to celebrate the song’s popularity.

Nektunez reacted to the news by reposting Tiktok’s video on his Instagram page and saying “This is incredible. Tiktok has 9.5 billion views “…

In an exclusive interview, Nektunz told Selorm Tali that he believed in the song from the day he wrote it.

Also, he stated that the pleasant surprises and success of the song are the realization of his dreams.

According to the Ghanaian music producer, who has worked with several music singers such as Stonebwoy, Worlasi, R2Bees, and others, the song has certainly transformed lives.

In the interview, he revealed that prominent record labels from around the world have contacted him, and he plans to make a major announcement soon, which will see him make history for Africa and Afrobeats.
