62nd Annual Grammy Awards, the ceremony just ended and Angélique Kidjo wins Best World Music Album, “Celia”
Beninese singer, songwriter and actress, Angélique Kpasseloko Hinto Hounsinou Kandjo Manta Zogbin Kidjo, known as Angélique Kidjo has been crowned winner in the best Best World Music Album category at the just ended 2020 Grammy Awards.
This year’s event marks the 62nd edition of the event since its start. The 62nd Grammy Awards aired on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Venued at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and hosted by American singer, Alicia Keys.
The singer who is widely noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos. adds to her this new awards to the previously won awards making her a four-time Grammy Awards Winners. Benin will be very proud of her 🤗
Angélique Kidjo’s Celia album made her the winner of the category, where she competed with other acts like; African Giant — Burna Boy, Gece — Altin Gün, What Heat — Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley and Fanm D’ayiti — Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet.

For albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental World Music recordings.
