Fati, like Pedri, will have a 1 billion euro release clause in his new contract, which was inked just days after Barcelona ensured the future of 18-year-old midfielder Pedri, who signed a contract until June 2026.

At the age of 16, Ansu Fati made his Barca debut in 2019, making 33 appearances in his first season, scoring eight goals, and receiving a call-up to the Spain national team.

He has made 48 appearances for the club, scoring 15 goals, and this season he took over Lionel Messi’s No. 10 shirt.

The announcement was made immediately after Gerard Pique’s first-half goal earned Barcelona a 1-0 Champions League victory over Dynamo Kiev at home, in which the teenager came on as a second-half replacement. Enditem
