Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker for Assin Central, has denied accusations that he is anti-Christian.
In light of this, he denied reports in the media that he rejects religion.
The congressman made these comments while participating in the regular “Mpaebo Kasie” prayer service at Parliament Chapel International (PCI), where he was joined by the congregation and Apostle Francis Amoako Attah.
He repeated his claim that he had studied theology and was conversant with the Bible as he boasted about his training in religion.
“You are surprised that I am quoting the Bible. A lot of pastors said I am anti-Christ. I am not anti-Christ; I believe in God.
I believe that anybody who does not believe in God is a fool. For me to sleep and wake up alone tells me God exists,” he iterated.
However, he stressed how much he detested bogus pastors who constantly work to instill fear in people in order to get money from them.
“I believe they are fake…Even the Bible made us aware that in the end there will be false prophets who will come in my name saying I am God, and when you are not careful to see the right pastors and continue to move from one pastor to another, your problems will not be solved.”
