Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has described his legitimate business as useless, and he regrets not doing fraud (Yahoo Yahoo).
His thoughts comes following the recent hike in Nigeria’s fuel prices shooting up from N617 to N897, which has gotten many netizens talking and calling out their government over how the economy of the country is being handled.
Taken to his Instagram on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, to register his feelings, the actor compared them in his post and stated that he could have done fraud all this while but he did not, and now regretting not doing in and rather focusing on his legitimate business.
He wrote, “All of the days wey dem dey talk about Yahoo Yahoo, na today I regret to pass say I no do am. Legitimate hustling never felt super useless #aremuafolayan.”

Afolayan’s comments reflect a growing discontent among Nigerians, who are struggling to cope with the impact of the fuel price hike.
According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), checks at various NNPC retail stations confirmed that the pump prices had been adjusted to reflect a new Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) price of ₦897 per litre, up from the previous ₦617. Meanwhile, independent marketers are reportedly selling fuel at even higher prices, ranging between ₦930 to ₦1,200 per litre.
