Arsenal’s summer transfer window kicked off with great momentum as they aim to gear up for another title challenge in the upcoming season.

After an impressive run in the Premier League last year and a return to the Champions League, the Gunners have made a surprising move by splashing £65m on Chelsea’s Kai Havertz.

The club is now on the verge of securing two more signings, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, as both players have completed their medical examinations with the North London team.

However, fans are growing restless as they eagerly await the official announcements confirming these deals.

Arsenal’s summer spending is set to soar above the £200m mark with the anticipated signings of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.

However, West Ham is growing increasingly frustrated by the delay in finalizing the paperwork, hindering the completion of the £105m deal agreed upon eight days ago.

The delay is attributed to Arsenal’s legal team, who are still in the process of drafting the necessary documents.

Arsenal remains hopeful of including Timber in their squad for an upcoming friendly against FC Nurnberg, while Rice could potentially sign before the squad departs for their US tour on Sunday.

According to West Ham, Rice has successfully completed his medical with Arsenal, as he has been regularly training while on holiday in Portugal.

The deal comprises an initial payment of £100m, with an additional £5m in potential add-ons. Once completed, it will surpass Arsenal’s current record purchase of Nicolas Pepe from Lille for £72m in 2019.

If Arsenal manages to secure these signings, their summer spending would exceed £200m, and surprisingly, there could be more to come.

Recent reports have linked PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez with potential moves to the Emirates Stadium, although the latter seems to be a more realistic option for the Gunners.

In addition, Arsenal is currently in competition with Manchester United for the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. However, the German club’s hefty asking price of at least £30m may deter Arsenal, considering their already well-stocked defense.
