Ghanaian reggae / Kuchoko artiste, Dub Poet, and a radio presenter, Blakk Rasta goes erratic on Award schemes in Ghana as he calls them Fraud, Corrupt, and thieves.
The award-winning Ghanaian Reggae artiste, Blakk Rasta who is born with his legal and official name ‘Abubakar Ahmed‘ made this assertion known during a recent radio interview on Okay FM hosted by Abeiku Santana.
Speaking in the interview, it could be seen that Blakk Rasta has regretted ever taking part or dreaming of having won an award here in Ghana as he questions their credibility.

This comes just few days after the Organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) announced its complete list of Nominees for the 23rd edition of the awards ceremony which we published here.
Blakk Rasta isn’t the first person speaking on this particular issue, it would be recalled that in our previously published post about 3Music Awards’ 2022 nomination, Maccasio also went haywire as he also threw shots at the board over their process and choice of artistes, and this can also be read here.
Well, according to Blakk Rasta, all award schemes in the country, Ghana are corrupt, fraud, and also added that they are thieves including the likes of the VGMA’s and 3Music Awards.
“When we started coming up, young guys full of energy we all wanted to receive awards but when you look into the awards right now you realize that its all a fraud” he said.
The reason he said that it was all fraud according to him has to do with the voting proceedings, he seem not to get a clear understanding of why one has to vote several times even over one million people having to vote before the awards is given out.
With that, and per my understanding i can say that he thinks they are just trying to make money off the voters.
