A six-goal thriller between Barcelona and Granada, a struggling La Liga team, ended in a draw thanks to two goals from teenage winger Lamine Yamal.

Ricard Sanchez tied the score after Facundo Pellistri’s pass, but the 16-year-old scored the first goal for the home team.

Granada’s lead was restored by Ignasi Miquel, Robert Lewandowksi equalized, and Pellistri, a winger on loan from Manchester United, added the second goal during a frantic six-minute run.

Finishing off the scoring was Yamal’s second.

Despite the fact that Yamal’s assistance was extremely beneficial, it turned out to be yet another dismal event for Barcelona in the hierarchy race.

Xavi’s team is currently 10 points behind Real Madrid at the top of the table. They also lost the chance to close the gap on Girona, who are five points ahead of them in second place.

Their display demonstrated Xavi’s decision to depart the team at the end of the current campaign, as he is certain that a change of direction is necessary for the Catalan club.

Granada, who are fighting relegation and have only managed one point on the road this season, appeared to be able to score goals at whim against a vulnerable Barca defence that has now given up nearly five times as many goals at home as it did all of the previous season.
