Benzino Faces Backlash After Calling Out Black Community For ‘Not Supporting’ Diddy

By Stermy 3 Min Read

American rapper, Benzino is currently in hot soup for calling out the Black Community for not standing by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs amid his ongoing issues.

A while ago, he stated that he was disappointed in the Black Community for being ready to give out one of their own who has not been charged with anything criminal.

“Since when have we given the law, the system, one of ours?” he questioned. “Since when? This man ain’t been charged with nothing criminally. Not one fcking thing. They done went in the man’s property with tanks and army men and National Guards, and he ain’t got charged with one criminal charge right now to date. They don’t got one fcking charge yet. I’m more upset about how our own are ready just to give him, ‘Here, take him. Lock him up.’ Since when do we do that?

It wasn’t clear if his statement came after CNN recently published a video showing rapper and business mogul, Diddy physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, Ventura, or not.

Well, following Benzino’s question to the Black Community, he has since then been under fire, facing Backlash

Rapper Diddy recently, as published here released a video of himself apologizing for the viral tape that saw him beating his ex-girlfriend.

Taking to social media on Sunday, May 19, 2024, the musician rendered an apology in a video via his platforms following the incident.

According to Sean, it has been very tough reflecting in the darkest times of his life but sometimes one got to do it. He said that he takes full responsibility for his actions in the video.

The rapper who added that he f**cked up said he was disgusted when he did what he did and he still remains disgusted now

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was fucked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.” Diddy said on Instagram.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.” He added.
