As West Ham closes on a 30 million euro (£25.5 million) deal for the 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Luis Guilherme, he is scheduled to have a physical this week.

Guilherme of Palmeiras would be the first player signed by West Ham after David Moyes was dismissed as manager at the end of the previous campaign by Julen Lopetegui.

In an attempt to strengthen new boss Lopetegui’s team, Irons director of football Tim Steidten has been in Brazil. Since Steidten took over the club’s transfer negotiations, the teenager would be the first to join.

Guilherme joined Palmeiras in 2023 as a 17-year-old and participated in the Copa Libertadores this season.
