In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Britney made it crystal clear: “Most of the news is trash!!! They keep saying I’m cooking up a new album with random folks… Well, guess what? I’m waving goodbye to the music industry for good!”

She spilled the tea on her writing habits too, saying, “When I write, it’s either for fun or for other people! If you’ve read my book, you’d know there’s a lot about me you don’t know.”
But hold up, she’s not done. Britney claims she’s been on a secret songwriting spree, churning out over 20 tracks for others in the past two years. She proudly declares herself a ghostwriter, and she’s loving it that way.
Oh, and about that memoir, ‘The Woman In Me’? Britney clarifies, “My book was released with my green light, no illegal shenanigans here! Have you been keeping up with the news? I’m feeling the love and blessings, people!”
Just to remind you of her recent hits, Britney’s dropped “Hold Me Closer,” a 2022 collab with Elton John, and “Mind Your Business,” originally recorded for her 2013 album, Britney Jean. Looks like Britney’s setting the story straight, and she’s loving the support!
