Burna Boy set to produce first film '3 Cold Dishes' on sex trafficking

Embarking on a new journey, Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy steps into the realm of cinema as an executive producer, presenting his debut film endeavor, ‘3 Cold Dishes.’

In conjunction with esteemed collaborators such as Ifind, Alma Productions, Asurf Films, Martian Network, and Black Mic Mac, a platform devoted to amplifying African and Middle Eastern talents, Burna Boy ventures into the filmmaking world as a co-producer.

‘3 Cold Dishes’ chronicles the compelling narratives of Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle, three former victims of sex trafficking who have transcended their harrowing pasts to dominate the clandestine realm of prostitution.

Despite their ascendancy, the specter of their traumatic pasts looms large as they confront the ghosts of their abusers, relentless in their pursuit of retribution.

Under the banner of Spaceship Films, the production company founded by Burna Boy and his mother in 2015, this cinematic endeavor is poised to captivate audiences worldwide.

Directed by Asurf Oluseyi, acclaimed for his award-winning short film ‘A Day with Death,’ ‘3 Cold Dishes’ promises to be a testament to the indomitable spirit of its protagonists, offering an unparalleled African cinematic experience.
