A tragic incident in San Bernardino, California, has left a family heartbroken after a mother of three, Asia Guercy, was killed in a vehicle collision allegedly caused by her husband.
The tragic event unfolded on January 26, when Asia, 25, and Charles Dark, 31, were killed after being rear-ended by Isaac Albert Perez, Asia’s 31-year-old husband.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department (SBPD), the crash occurred around 12:00 a.m. local time, when the victims’ vehicle was driven off the road and into a flood control channel.
Both Asia and Charles were declared dead at the scene. The authorities soon launched a homicide investigation and arrested Perez, who was later charged with murder.
Reports suggest that the collision followed an altercation between Perez, Asia, and Dark at a park in San Bernardino earlier that night, where Perez allegedly confronted his wife and Dark over a suspected extramarital affair.
After the confrontation, Perez reportedly followed the couple before rear-ending their vehicle, leading to the fatal crash.

Perez, who was married to Asia for 11 years, has since pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held without bail, with a court hearing scheduled for March 3.
Asia’s sister, Maliya Guercy, described her as a “devoted” mother and “beautiful soul,” adding that she had suffered physical and verbal abuse during her marriage.
According to Maliya, Asia had been in the process of leaving her husband at the time of her death. Asia had previously filed for a restraining order against Perez in 2021, citing domestic violence, but her request was denied by the court.
