The Nima Divisional Police Command has arrested outspoken Ghanaian media personality Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, the host of Onua TV/FM morning show in Accra.
The news of his arrest was made known to the public via a press statement by Ghana Police on their verified Twitter account.
According to the statement, he was arrested today, December 2, 2021, for making “some unsavoury pronouncements that hinge on peace and security”.

Captain Smart has been cautioned on the offence of offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace as provided under section 2017 of the Criminal Act, 1960 (Act 29), according to a statement from the Ghana Police Service.
The Police said he is in their custody, assisting with the investigations.
