Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is speaking out for the first time following the release of a 2016 video that showed her being physically abused by ex Sean “Diddy” Combs.
This marks her initial reaction, just days after CNN released surveillance footage from March 5, 2016, depicting the mogul assaulting his then-girlfriend. A video that forced Diddy to release an apology video himself.
The video begins with Cassie carrying a bag down the corridor of the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, as she heads toward the elevators.
He grabs her by the neck, throws her to the floor, kicks her, shoves her, and drags her by her sweatshirt. Later, he returns to kick her again and hurls an object from a nearby table at her. Watch the Video Here.
Cassie Reacts: On Thursday, (May 23, 2024) the R&B singer who previously sued the rapper and businessman for years of alleged abuse, took to Instagram, and released a statement where she thanked people for the outpouring of support.

“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet,” Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura Fine, wrote on the social media platform.
She continued saying; “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
