The Guinness World Records (GWR) committee has disqualified Ghanaian chef Faila from her quest to hold the record for the longest cooking marathon, which took place in a culinary spectacle that attracted the attention of food connoisseurs in Ghana and throughout the world.

The seasoned chef, Failatu Abdul Razak by birth, set out to break the current record for the longest cooking session, demonstrating his incredible endurance and culinary prowess.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 3, 2024, the foodie sensation expressed her gratitude for all of the support she has gotten over her culinary journey, even in light of the tragic news.

An unsuccessful effort was the result of a rest break rule breach, according to a statement from the Records Management Team.

GWR congratulated Chef Faila and urged her to go for further records in spite of the setback.
