The manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, has given a positive update regarding Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey’s comeback to play.
Prior to a UEFA Champions League group stage match against Sevilla in Spain, Partey suffered a thigh injury that has kept him out of action for nearly five months.
Partey’s participation in training sessions is evidence of the former Atletico Madrid player’s return to action for The Gunners, Arteta told the media prior to Arsenal’s English Premier League match against Sheffield United.

Prior to the match against Sheffield, the Gunners had won three straight games with a high scoring total: 6-0 against West Ham, 5-0 against Burnley, and 1-0 against Newcastle United.
With Partey playing just four times this season, Arsenal has been in excellent goal-scoring form as the London team continues to chase a Premier League crown for the first time in twenty-one years.
Due to his injuries, Partey was unable to participate in Ghana’s 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote D’Ivoire.
