Nigerian actress Chika Ike has firmly addressed the swirling rumors regarding the paternity of her child.
Taking to Instagram, the movie star made it clear that businessman and politician Ned Nwoko is not the father of her baby.
In her lengthy statement, Ike expressed her frustration over the persistent speculation about her personal life, emphasizing that she has always maintained her privacy and only reveals details about her life when she chooses to.
Chika Ike recently announced her pregnancy, which took many by surprise as she had kept it private for months.
However, following her announcement, rumors started circulating about the identity of the father. Some speculated that Ned Nwoko, known for his polygamous marriage to actress Regina Daniels, could be involved.
Shutting down the false claims, Ike stated, “There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are—rumors that needed no response. But this is different. This is about my child.”
The actress made it clear that she will not engage in gossip or speculation regarding her personal life, Chika stressed that no one has any factual knowledge about her affairs unless she chooses to share it.

In her post, the actress reaffirmed her commitment to keeping her personal life private, she called out those making baseless assumptions and insisted that no one can dictate what she chooses to disclose.
“Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever’s name you might come up with next in your guessing games—I won’t entertain it,” she wrote. “And like I’ve said before, I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”
Despite the media frenzy, Ike remains unbothered by the rumors, stating that she understands such speculation comes with her career. However, she made it clear that the only reason she addressed this particular rumor is because it involves her child.
“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumors because I understand they come with my career choice,” she added. “My privacy is my peace, and no one can unsettle me. I’m basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy, and that’s all that matters to me now.”
