Portuguese professional footballer and Manchester United’s striker, Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new record as he becomes the most followed person on Instagram after reaching 400 million followers.
Instagram is an American photo and video sharing social networking service founded by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. In April 2012, Facebook Inc. acquired the service for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock.
The 37-year-old Portuguese forward became the most followed person on the social media platform as at September 2021, as he had 237 million active Instagram followers, which has not changed since as the numbers keep rising fast and growing.
This means from the past five months, the former Madrid Player, has gotten an increase of 163 million followers, he currently as at the time of this post of mine has a total of 3,242 posts, with an average like of over 10 million likes on each post.
Cristiano Ronaldo who just turned 37, celebrated his birthday on Sunday, February 5, 2022, where he took to his official Instagram page and shared a caked design in a form of CR7, and that very post got him over 14 million-plus likes.

Well, with Ronaldo on the top of the list of the most followed persons on Instagram, he is followed by Kylie Jenner with 309 followers, Lionel Messi came up at 3rd with a total of 306 Instagram followers.
