Champions League and Premier League runners up Liverpool trained in Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium ahead of their pre-season friendly against Manchester United.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp had many of the big-hitters like Mohamed Salah, Darwin Núñez and Virgil van Dijk involved in todays training.

Portuguese forward Diogo Jota was part of those who trained with the team but is unlikely to take part in Tuesday’s game against Manchester United with the player on Monday explained that he is not quite yet over an injury sustained on international duty during the summer.

Townflex Sport understands the Portuguese forward will not be out for long after seeing him train with his mates. However, source suggests he may be involved against Crystal Palace later in the week.

Liverpool’s new signing Darwin Nunez who was poised to make his first debut against Man United has also given his side an injury scare before their showdown on Tuesday.

The likes of Luis Díaz, Fábio Carvalho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Joe Gomez are likely to be featuring most heavily against Manchester United, with those players having been in training for a full week.

The players who only joined up with their Reds teammates in Asia including Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcântara, Darwin Núñez, Curtis Jones, Naby Keïta, Ibrahima Konaté and Kostas Tsimikas will be eased into the action more slowly with Jürgen Klopp willing to give several promising youngsters minutes on the pitch.

According to reports, Caoimhin Kelleher and Kaide Gordon have all missed out on the tour due to injury.

Liverpool will then travel to Singapore to take on another Premier League team, Crystal Palace, on Friday.

The Reds will face RB Leipzig and then Red Bull Salzburg in Germany and Austria respectively, before the double-header with Manchester City and then Strasbourg a week before the opening game of the Premier League season away at Fulham.
