Despite being a famous Nigerian singer, Davido faced some challenges when it came to pursuing his education.

In the podcast, Davido disclosed that he initially dropped out of school to focus solely on his music career. According to Davido, his father promised to build him a world-class studio and provide him with funds to shoot music videos if he attended lectures from Mondays to Fridays and worked in the studio on weekends.

He revealed that his father even had a land not far from the school where he could build the studio.

Despite being initially reluctant, Davido eventually agreed to his father’s terms and completed his degree program. His hard work paid off as he graduated with a second-class upper degree from the Music Department of Babcock University.

This story highlights the importance of education and the support of family in achieving one’s dreams. Despite being a successful musician, Davido recognized the value of having a degree and the opportunities it could provide him in the future.

Thanks to the encouragement and support of his father, he was able to balance his music career and education successfully.

Overall, Davido’s story serves as an inspiration to many young people who may be struggling to find the right balance between their passions and education. It emphasizes the importance of having a supportive network and the determination to pursue one’s goals.
